I found a lot of these trace carrier frames this year. They intrigued me. I wanted to repurpose them and/or display them to best effect. I thought they might work as bottle openers. Today a 12-pk of Oktoberfest jumped in with my groceries. Strange how that can happenā€¦
I experimented with the frame and it is a great opener. It doesnā€™t even damage the bottle cap. Now I need to clean several of them up properly and seal them so they donā€™t rust again. Maybe a nice oak handle can be incorporated with it. Iā€™d rather give them out as presents than to leave them in a bucket. Thanks for looking.
Skoal! Chin Chin! Cheers!

Absolutely brilliant way to repurpose!! I too have the issue of 12 packs jumping into my grocery basket, donā€™t know what to do about it šŸ˜€

Iā€™ve never tried Oktoberfest. I know the original Leinenkugels is hard to find around here. All I see is the flavored stuff.

Their Canoe Paddler and their Creamy Dark are very good bottled beers.
