Reno Divorce Traditions

Recently caught an old clip of Nevada on turner classic movies. Showed some prospecting of old tailings around pyramid lake, also some divorce traditions at Reno of women awarded divorce kissing the pillar at top of steps at courthouse and tossing their wedding rings off a bridge on main street into river. Even showed woman doing it! Anyone herd of this old tradition here or anywhere else, or have found rings here? Just thought it was a lead for some of you guys in Reno area. Good Hunting! JR

The Truckee river in downtown Reno has been dredged a few times in the past. They did real good

I've know of several cities with central parks that have lakes where this is a tradition, but I would think Reno would have more action than most. Cheers!!
