I want to ask if anyone reading this has been on what they considered a rendevous site.....meaning the rendevous sites that were where the traders from
St. Louis and the Indians and fur trappers met, usually once a year, to trade furs, pelts, skins, and whatever else they had, for whatever the St. Louey men had.
I read and reread books about the rendevous when I was a kid, and getting on to this site, began wondering if anyone has ever been on a site......I can only imagine what might be found......when there was a 2 or 3 week drunk, with everyone having something to trade.......or lose.
