My parents have had this hanging in their house as long as I can remember.

I know the pic isn't the best but it is about 6 inches thick and the bottom piece under the scene is hinged and comes down to expose a little storage area maybe?

Anyone ever see anything like this.

I found out what it was. If anyone wants to know it is a sick call home altar from 1909. It was used for people to worship if they were too sick to go to church.
