I'm going with religious rosary metal, and thinking it could be Jacob's Ladder related or education related with the helping hand, apple, pencil, and climbing the ladder of success/education. Breezie

This is a good one. Maybe from an Arma Christi watch fob. I think G is correct in being possibly religious because they are instruments and symbols of the Crucifixion. Ladder, sponge on reed and hand. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arma_Christi

Just my take but I think it has something to do with a chimney sweep rather than a roofer......

BCH, nice ID on the Arma Christi. It could easily be from a watch fob or a rosary since it has/had a catch-loop at both ends; either way, the ID-ing of the symbol was the most important. Breezie

Its the right size and shape for a rosary but every rosary I looked at or used when I was young had 3 attachment points on the center piece (12) so its doubtful this is from a rosary.
