Religious metal or coin?

This may be a tough one. Found in the same general area as a 1889 Indian head and 1797 2Reale.

In very rough shape because of corrosion but I think in photo one I see a woman holding a baby? Could it be mother Mary with baby? Other side photo 2 it possibly is a person sitting. Note on photo one there is some remnants of writing in the upper right.

Hope you all can figure this one out I would like to know what it is coin or metal medallion?

I kinda doubt its a coin I would guess a medal or token but just a guess can you make out any letters on it. Cool find Might have to try to use a tooth pick to clean enough to see something more

Looks like some religious Medallion of some kind with an image of the Blessed Mother and child to me. This one of course is much later but has a similar image from what I'm seeing.

Think I’m in agreement. Looks like Mary and baby Jesus. Now what could be on the other side? I’ve been pounding the internet looking for an exact example with no success. Tough, it’s in very bad shape. Thanks for reply.
