Howdy all.

The rain held off till 3pm on Saturday so i had time to do a little digging in Jonesboro. I dug 11 P Caps, 4 flat buttons with 4 holes, 3 of these buttons i think are pewter as they are very heavy and have a gray patina. 2 Eagle buttons that are in fine shape and 1, .32 cal casing. I have also included a pic of a nice earth work that i snapped a few weeks ago, this is part of Johnston's river line along the Chattahoochee.

Nice to see a location relating to your finds. Are you allowed to MD the positions or are they protected? In a case like this, GPSing the locations of the fine could paint a picture of the area.

Well done!!

Dang nice digs Hiker.
I lived just south of Senoia for a few years and moved to Ohio a few while back. I sure miss living in the South, the Winter weather and the sweet tea just rocks.
Flip Flop

Hiker, those eagle buttons are fine.

Congrats.

Just more history saved that otherwise wouldn't have been

without you out there swinging.

Papa Bear.

The photo of Johnston's river was taken to preserve this place in the unfortunate but very likely event that the land gets developed someday, i have never detected there. The land is owned by the county and they will not give permission to detect there. All of my relics are dug on private land with permission.
