They look like parts to an old luggage trunk, very nice colors and designs. WTG

How big is it? If it is quite large, it might be a gate latch, but small and I'm with CW, some kind of luggage fastner.
Whatever it is, it is beautiful.....You got a great find.

Welcome to tnet from the UK :)

Steel Wool :-X My advice is never clean anything until you know what it is. If that were a rare piece, you would now be quite upset with yourself.

Very nicely designed piece & thankfully you didn't press too hard.

Welcome to Tn! I agree with Crusader on the steel wool but what a really pretty piece

I like the eagle on the latch, it may help a little with trying to identify it.

Nice find! ( and yes, I agree with the steel wool cautions :) )

Both are furniture pieces. A latch on the left and a drawer pull on the right.

I think that it is pretty much agreed upon that these are furniture pieces ( desk, trunk, etc.). I am guessing that trizman is wondering if they might be something other than just standard everyday (old) fixtures.

Does look like old trunk hinges. Could have at one time held the fourtune. I would look over that area again. HH.
