Relic?

Found this today with the Xt70 down at a buddy's house. I guess a old school house used to be there a long time ago. Made out of Brass. Gave a quick cleaning with some fine grade steel wool.

They look like parts to an old luggage trunk, very nice colors and designs. WTG

How big is it? If it is quite large, it might be a gate latch, but small and I'm with CW, some kind of luggage fastner.
Whatever it is, it is beautiful.....You got a great find.

Steel Wool My advice is never clean anything until you know what it is. If that were a rare piece, you would now be quite upset with yourself.

I like the eagle on the latch, it may help a little with trying to identify it.

Both are furniture pieces. A latch on the left and a drawer pull on the right.

I think that it is pretty much agreed upon that these are furniture pieces ( desk, trunk, etc.). I am guessing that trizman is wondering if they might be something other than just standard everyday (old) fixtures.

Does look like old trunk hinges. Could have at one time held the fourtune. I would look over that area again. HH.
