Last night was my kind of a night. I was too busy over the weekend to get out and was determined last night to get at least a little hole diggn' time.
I went to a city yard that I had hunted a little bit before the grass all died off in July. I had my CZ 3d and my F70. I was hunting with the CZ and using
the F70 to verify and pinpoint. The token came up first in a spot I know I had looked before as a solid signal at about five inches deep. I am a big fan of
tokens and was pretty pleased with the evening with just that in the pouch. Down along the sidewalk in front of the house a hill curved down to the walk.
Along that hillside the CZ got a weak signal that stayed constant. I dug, found nothing. Used the F70 and the small coil down in the hole and realized the signal was coming from the sidewall. The quarter was standing on edge. I filled that hole, picked up the F70 and it sounded about six inches from the hole. Pinpointed and out popped the sterling wedding band.
A lot of people have found these Excelsior Shoe tokens. They were a Boy Scout item that came with shoes. It has a 1910 date and a good luck symbol on the back. I know I haven't hit half of this yard yet, hope to get back over the weekend.

HH, Don

Any hunt with silver is great! WTG :icon_thumright: And you don't find medals everyday, so that's a nice bonus! 8)
