Relic hunt on beautiful December day

Gary (G.A.P. Metal) invited me up today to MD a foundation near him. It was a perfect day for this time of year in NY and no frost to deal with. The best find of the day was a very ornate shoe buckle, then a large buckle, drift punch, horse shoe, small flat file, block plane blade, part of a hay fork, keg band, and misc.. There is stampings on the shoe buckle but I have not cleaned it well enough yet to be able to make it out. The ox shoe was a last week find by Gary. Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting

Ya it was a great day to be in the woods and digging relics.
That Shoe Buckle is killer,i think it`s a lady`s buckle ,very nice .
The double bit ax is cool too !

Cool finds, are they black bear tracks or Bigfoot? I'm headed up to VT tomorrow morning, hope to be up NY way this coming summer to do some water hunting. I'll PM you guys if I head that way.

We may not be that far apart and also I have unlimited permission to MD on a twenty parcel with history in n/central PA which could be a good place to meet up. I haven't gotten Gary there yet but hopefully can we can it on the schedule.

All i found was a broken Harmonica reed ,and a lot of iron Inspector smoked me in finds.
He left 300 lbs.of iron relics there .

I'm in Bennington VT, here for a funeral for a friend, I'm headed over to Dorset VT in a little while, beautiful place. This summer I want to come up with my son and the boat around Scotts Harbor (I think that's what it is called) We were both camping there years back, nice spot! Would be cool to meet you guys too!
