I got back to the foundation site where I pulled the US Civil War belt buckle last year. Right of the bat (less than a minute into the hunt) I got this strong high 70s reading with the v3i, high frequency dominant, and pulled the front casing from a silver plated lighter from about 2 inches. The front reads "Reliable Pocket Lamp (Trade Mark) Philadelphiao Patented October 28, 1890." The back of the insert says "Manufactured by the Consolidated Fruit Jar co." I looked online and realized this was one of the earliest invented pocket lighters. I saw a complete one that sold on Ebay for 299. When looking around the internet I've noticed that there seems to be variations as to who the manufacturer is...I saw ones that were not made by this Fruit Jar company.
....and then I found nothing at all the rest of the hunt.
I think it's awesome!! too bad it's not complete...
