Stopped by the grocery store to pick up dinner and as always on my way out I spied the reject tray on the coinstar machine. I noticed a bunch of coins and no one around so I nonchalantly scooped them up and out the door I went. Jumped into the car and checked out my haul; bunch of clad, canadian dime and the well worn face of an Injun! Unfortunately the buffalo nickel was SO well worn I couldn't make out the date even with my 10X loop. Oh well, but its still mine. All mine. Oh yeah, the shepards pie I made was delicious.

What's a reject tray on a coinstar machine?

When the machine finishes processing your mountain of change, the coins that could not be processed come out in a reject tray. I have found more money in those trays than I have found metal detecting. Some or all of the machines won't process one-dollar coins, which are rejected and often go unnoticed by the customer. Then, scavengers come and scoop them up.

WTG on spotting the coins i the tray. I have ot been that lucky at our coinstar machine. In over a year I have only gotten 2 pennies.....Matt
