Hello, first one of these I found that was a cuff size button that has reg on the bottom. I usually find them with corps on the bottom. Is this war of 1812? could not find this exact button when searching. any info appreciated.

it does classify as a war of 1812 era button because it was used from about 1808 to 1820's

The button-book by Alphaeus Albert says it is a US Army 1st Regiment of Artillery button, issued from 1802 to 1808. Of course, some were still being worn during the War Of 1812. Part of your button's emblem is too corroded for absolute certainty about exactly which version of the 1st Artillery Regiment 1802-1808 buttons your cuff-size button is, but it closely resembles button AY-24Av in the Albert book's photos.
