Good job on the silver. :icon_thumleft:

As for the 2003 and newer? Keep a few for yourself, but really just worth face value anyway. Even though NIFC.

Thank you all for the nice comments and the welcomes.
I am new to this and wish I would have thought about it sooner instead of buying silver coins and bars. I read an article about the holidays being a good time to search rolls for silver and thought, DUH, what a concept. I have scored with every case untill today.
Skunked on silver with two cases yet I did get:
1 2004s
1 2005d
1 2005p
1 2008p
3 2009d
And one elusive 1987p in great shape.
Also found three gold plated halves with dates stamped into them like some sort of a memorial. One 1960-1985, and two 1960-1980. Quite interesting yet only worth face value.
I have already set a deal up with my bank to order two cases on mondays and two more on wednesdays. These are the days the order so I will be going through 4000 coins a week in search of more silver. My bank has been more than helpful with this as when I started, I was told there would be a three dollar charge to return them and the bags to return them in would cost a dollar each. Since the branch manager is one of my customers, she is not charging me for the bags or the return fee. in fact I was given ten return bags for free and they don't even put my account number on them when I return them. Nice to be trusted...:)
Good luck to all of you and will be back with more as I go through them.

Good evening to all of you and hope you have a better week than I.

Last post was a skunk, with the exception of some mint coins.
I finished this weeks two cases last night with no luck. I started marking my coins to see how long it would take to come back. Low and behold, there they were along with other markings. All my rolls are Brinks and I feel like they do not rotate their stock. Surely there are some dusty cases on the bottom shelf that will produce. But now I find my marks coming back in a two week period.

I just picked up two more cases today and am getting ready to search. I have read several posts about pick up banks and dump banks. I am still new to this and would like to hear some of your ideas regarding such. Do I continue to pick up at my primary bank, which does not charge me and dump at another? Or should I just open another account at another bank and use them to see what happens?

All advice is welcome.

Thanks
GG

I think we all dream about that dusty box at the back of the bottom shelf!!!!!

Maybe, just maybe, if I dump at another bank and keep picking up my coins at the same bank I will get to the dusty box at the bottom...:)

Very nice my 4 boxes were skunks :blob7: :blob7: :blob7: 8 more tomorrow ????

I know this is a double post, yet had to share the pic with you all reading this thread. This is the first case of two for this weekend.
2 1964
1 1969d
1 1976s :headbang:

New to CRH myself and reading several several forum posts the basic morale is " Dont dump where you buy." From my understanding each bank has an offsite main vault for thier bank. Each banks money is kept within thier pool it is not all mixed together.

Bank x has a certain level of coinage to maintain, we CRH's go in and buy 500-4k per week from said bank, we are depleting thier pool by not dropping it back to them or any of thier branches, they in turn must order coinage from the fed, new supply!!

Please keep in mind I have never worked for an armored car company or a bank so this is pure speculation on my part.

Nice finds though record box!

I think I am going to find a dump bank for these coins and see how long it will take to get to those dusty boxes om the bottom shelf..:)
You all have great ideas and plans going on here and I can only follow the leaders right now. Thanks for all the great advice.
I will return tonight after the next case is searched with my results.
