A red stone ring surrounded by 12 other little stones. Like most of my old jewelry it's really dusty and worn so it's hard to make out the tiny marks inside the band but I'm sure it says 18 KT|GE then the symbol next to it is hard to make out it looks like a diamond symbol or something with an arrow pointing towards the right. Any Info would be great, thanks.

I'm far from an expert but that thing looks good. The color and clarity of the stone...ruby? Hope it's real. Gary

My guess it is a lab made Ruby. I believe 18KT/GE means it is 18 karat, gold electroplated.

As you said, it's hard to see the markings in the pics. Could the GE possibly be GF, meaning gold filled?... a somewhat standardized production method which uses gold sheeting fused to other metals.

I'm with tamrock. The red is a little too 'rich' for this ruby, indicative of a lab-grown stone. Of course there are rubies with this great of a color, but they're so expensive they'd be set in 14 or 18k, and not in gold electroplate.

Congrats on a nice ring though!
