Well I'm mostly a coin hunter but when I stopped at a bank this morning for some reason instead of saying " Do you have any old coin that has been brought in?" I said " Do you have any old money?" The teller quickly pulled out this

A few are marked on but over all are in pretty good shape. Any idea to the value of my investment. Got to love when you can buy them for $2.00 a piece.
Good Hunting!!!!!!!!
Also what does the red stamp mean? Is this a silver certificate???

Engine, without seeing them it is hard to tell. If they are in decent shape however, they would probably go for between $5 and $10 ea., based on a VG to VF condition. No matter what it is worth, it was a good buy. HH Gpurs...

These are called legal tenders (also known as US Bank Notes). the key difference is that these notes are direct obligations of the US Government, where as our normal currency is an obligation of the Federal Reserve Bank (a private corporation with close government oversight).

The star note should fetch more than the rest, but not knowing the condition, it's hard to give an arbitrary value. Unfortunately, most dealers will offer you barely more than $2 a piece, but rest assured, they would gladly sell them for the $5 to $10 mentioned above.
