red jasper

Probably from 3 to 6 dollars per pound for rough. (tumbling rough closer to $3, slabs closer to $6)

18 x 25mm cabs @ 5 to as much as 20 dollars each.

Of course, all this depends on the color, quality and /or locality of the material that would determine rarity and value.

Hard to judge without pics. I am only guessing on this, from looking at prices for rough from various suppliers.

Good luck!

well when i got there the bigest rocks were already burried from the tailing outflow from this operation. and the ones that were left on the surface were about 1 1/2 to 2 inchs long and about 1 to 1 1/2 inchs thick. some of these that my wifepicked up are red iron garnets but im not sure yet. they look just like the ones that were shown on 'cash and treasures the other week.but..........??????????
