Red... glass like... gem?

Greetings,

Took a walk with the girlfriend recently on a beach and her keen eye spotted this.

This is a rocky beach, that people don't really sunbathe on and is off the beaten path.

We found two of these in different locations. They are of different shapes.

It feels a bit light, yet sinks in water.

One side is a bit flatter than the rest which is rounded.

Can anyone identify what it is? If it's "play" jewelry, what the heck is it doing on this remote beach. lol

Was there any sea glass on the beach? It almost looks like that, but it seems to be pretty shiny for sea glass.

Not that I know of brother.... these two little red things stuck out like a sore thumb.
