I found this today. Soaked it in olive oil for a couple of hours and this what I got. I have been on the internet for about 4 hrs. and found one Red Front token(round) from Klemont? CA.....Also found a Red Front (grocery) store from Chicago est. 1958 and Red Front stores from CA...but nothing on this token....

It says: Red Front Good for Five Cents Trade...nothing stamped on back but several "X" marks or cuts....

only thing i found were from a maverick listing red front as being redding, ca. referenced kappens calif. book.

there were other red fronts listed but they have street numbers. from antioch and sacremento ca. also referencing kappens calif book.
there were red front with the word-saloon or bar- on them from south tacoma, wa. listed
then there was one with tavern and another with drug store but no attribution.

nothing in the 1919 dunn bradstreet. token looks older than that.

neat token good find congrats

I found the same maverick attributions as Intimer, and also one for a Red Front Saloon in Minturn, CO. Unfortunately, no further details were given.

Thanks intimer, PBK. I joined the token site from my earlier post and sent them a message. I heard back from them within a few hours:
Hi Jeremy,

This is going to be difficult to correctly attribute. There are just too many "Red Front" possibilities.
I would post it on the tokencatalog.com site as Unknown. If anyone recognizes it, you will get e-mail when an attribution is made.

Brass Scalloped 4-lobe

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I don't have time right now but I will post it on the token site when I get home from work and maybe someone will have an exact match or at least know where this one is from.
Thanks everyone
