Hello,
We have excavated these Red Copper Ingot in a Shipwreck which is probably a merchant ship of the Dutch East India Company during the 17th or early 18th century. They are of the same size approx 250 grams each. Coral encrashments were already removed and those that are in the upper right of the images were cleaned, thus their shiny colour.
Could anybody identify them as to origin and their use during that period and what would be their worth now if put into auction?
