Recycling center Treasure

Went to the Recycling center for my semi annual can run for some Beer money , There was a guy in front of me with a whole trash can full of all kinds of stuff metal, alum.,bicycle frames, & the guy sorting the stuff pulled out a Carburetor & did not know what category it was so he set it aside , So I asked the owner I'll give you $15 they will give you scrap price , He said $20 sold I did not know what it was for but when you see it you will know it was a GOOD deal !

after looking on line it's for a Z car & worth about $2000.00

That's an awesome score. Makes you wonder where he got it from. Took a load of scrap yesterday for work, actual junk car parts, only came back with $104. Not worth it sometimes. I've scored 2 nice bikes and a double bit axe head. They are stingy about taking from the pile. Gotta be quick lol.

From owning a non ferrous scrap facility it was really amazing to see what came in the yard.
If a company dropped off your carbs, and stated for total destruction, that's requirement.
So no reselling of the item.
Probably the most interesting item was a pharmaceutical pill press.
I was glad to crush it as the amount of strangers showing up asking for the machine was a tad too many for my liking.

I went a while back and there was at least a pickup load of brass hardware like hinges all different sizes that I could use but he said no they don't sell to the public.
