Whoever shut down the Bureau Of Mines needs crucified. For all the crying about sulfur dioxide and lead emissions from smelters a solution was found.

So with some investment, you take a waste stream and turn it into a profit stream. Both the lead and pure elemental sulfur still have value on the market.

The other minerals come out as a sludge for further processing. So any copper, gold , silver, etc. can be recovered.

And people wonder why I get so fired up about certain things.
 

Would love to see how this could be scaled down to the small scale miner. I have a lode claim that is specifically for lead. I like some of the mineral specimens that go along with it. IMG_0062.jpg
