I have the option travel alot for my job, marketing (It is grueling 10 to 11 hour days at 18 per hour, I earn 1800 every 10 days). Any ways they just offered me the chance to spend 3 months on the road going from washington, idaho, colorado, arizonia, and oregon in that order. While im sure there are other hunters in these areas I will definatly check out the local banks. With 3 months on the road will i achive any duration records?

Side note any body have advice on what to do with a apt that will be empty for 3 months. I can give it up and save 3000, but i dont know how easy it will be to find a home when I get back at a price i can afford (i got a killer 900 month to month deal)

I would turn down the job at only 18.00 an hour. I sure hope that at least included travel expenses as well. For me I wouldn't leave home for that long unless I made some BIG money.

Depending whether by foot or on wheels.Heres a nice little road trip on foot

The Long Walk

The Long Walk caused a sensation when it came out 1956. Allegedly a true story of a great escape from one of Stalin´s terrible gulags, initiated by the young Polish cavalry officer Slavomir Rawicz. In April 1941, he escaped from camp 303, located south of Yakutsk, in a blizzard together with six other prisoners. Instead of choosing the shortest route to freedom and survival, by walking 2500 kms (1500 miles) east for the Pacific Coast and a possible boat to Japan, they headed directly south. 18 months and 6500 Kms (4000 miles) later only four of them reached freedom in British India in September 1942. Three died during the trek. Possibly the hardest walk ever.

Red, your knowledge of such things never ceases to amaze me!

I read about the book, also saw the movie that was made out of it.There was another case like this after WW2.A movie was made out of that incident also.A German officer was taken prisoner by the Russians and held in a work camp in Siberia.Him and 2 others escaped. They died on the way but he ended up walking from Siberia to Iran.

That was a great movie!

Last I knew, a road trip involved using roads---usually on vehicles. These people just walked, through the woods, ect, ect, hardly a road trip but rather a walking trip.

I'll have to see the movie sometime. Problem is I am always out of time:mad:
