Okay.
My husband has said he will buy me a new detector for Christmas! So to be SURE we pick the right one, I would REALLY like to go to a KNOWLEDGEABLE dealer. People who REALLY know the hobby. We're on the south shore of Boston so anywhere up to southern New Hampshire or out to the Berkshires or even down to Connecticut is totally do-able. Even further if it's really worth it. We thought we'd make a day of it, just leave the kids and go just the two of us for the day and have a nice day together...
I figure having a better detector will help me make better choices about when to dig and wear me out less! Middle-age is hell

Where does one GO to find a brick & mortar dealer to buy a detector in this digital world?
BONUS: If anyone takes trade-ins - I don't care what they take for them - but that would be WAY cool.
