Went out first thing this morning and caught some real nice bass. Then a little work and off to the spot. Waves had washed pretty good and had a little luck. This spot has been hunted out pretty much. Did pick up some bases and nice little quartz blunt. Just has a little side nik in it. Probably a Palmer. Also two other rough points from a paddle yesterday. A weathered point of shale and a real nasty quartz birdie. No skunk!

hey hey ben
pretty cool
nice bucket mouth
what do you do with those fish
we have them here but they don't hold a candle against a walleye fillet which i am sure you agree with
we have a heck of a smallmouth fishery here along the missouri river and the lakes behind the dams ....lake sakakawea in ND, lake Oahe in ND and SD, and fort peck in montana....
......but we are in prime walleye country.....don't mean to take this thread off course.....just sayin', thats all...
...now getting back to the points i just think that quartz must have been very difficult to work with compared to flint, jasper, chert, etc..
but being from ND i just don't know much about it.......tryin' to learn
thanks for the post friend ben

love that in situ photo with the sun shining through the grass on that beauty of a point.

Thanks guys!! I put all the bass back. We may do a catfish fry soon. This pond the farmer owns an we can't take fish. No walleyes for me yet. Need to get out earlier or later.

Got some nice quartz pieces and that bass looks to of been on the bed by its belly.

Some of the ponds we have been to have been done spawn. Some haven't.
