Definitely 100% not platinum. A chunky ring like that, at about 8-10mm in width with a design, if platinum, would have cost thousands of USD from a jewelry store. If someone bothered to make such an expensive ring, they would have made a better effort of getting their hallmark more clear on the inside. Besides, it doesn't look at all like platinum. The wear on the inside of the band is nothing like the wear patterns on platinum, and the dark background of the design would be very, very unusual for platinum but is something you see on plenty of rings made out of silver, which is what this ring is.

Yeah closer to 92% silver, platinum doesn't tarnish. When silver is low they sell rings like that on the counter at Liquor Stores gas stations along with mood rings. It is worth its weight in silver, that's all IMO.

I agree. Not Platinum. You can see how the outside is polished nice and the areas recessed into the design are tarnished (oxidized.) Platinum is hard to oxidize. If it was platinum then the whole ring would be universally the same color. Platinum is also a harder metal whereas silver will take dings and dents. Nice Silver Ring! Cool design.
