Attended an auction in May and purchased 3 box lots for $130. I kept some items thug valued on the low end for about $30. So with a cost of about $100 I've been doing well on eBay. Not to mention having a great time at the auction! Herd are some pics, I still have about 10 items from the auction to list. image-1639335090.webp image-2420560536.webp image-209569712.webp The last couple of weekends I was able to go to a few yard sales, but with kids activities I'm not able to get there early or on the first day. With that said, I did okay. It amazes me how much "stuff" people just give away for free. I guess they just want it gone. Here is what I paid for the items in the pics below.

Naruto and dragon ball cards - free
Sony Walkman- $0.25
Girl Scouts needlepoint- $0.50
Fly box - $2
Fly case - $2 (the key chain and pin were in my junk drawer)
Atari and controllers - $3
Pixter- $2
Lootcrate items - free.

Thanks for looking and good luck to all.

Do you actually make any money selling something for 1.99?

Sure. Depending on the items past performance in recent auctions. If an item has numerous bids and has preformed well I'll list an item at a low starting price.

The items I won at the auction that I listed have sold in past by BIN, so that is how I sold them. Items like the cards and Walkman do well at auction, the kind of items that could cause a bidding war.

how do you get your shipping so cheap. I feel like I'm getting ripped off when it comes to to start shipping.

I purchased a good scale from eBay. I box the items, them weigh them. Then I go on the USPS web site and put in a zip code across the country and use that as my cost. I try to keep shipping as low as possible, I feel it attracts buyers. I always use the cheapest way to ship. So far I have had no complaints about shipping times. Some times I make up to a dollar on shipping and sometimes I loose up to a dollar. I have been keeping track and after about 60-70 items sold I'm down about $7 total. But I'm okay with that because several items sold way over my projections.
