Here are a few interesting finds that I picked up along the Treasure Coast in May. The Treasure Coast has been sanded in for a long time so you have to look a little harder and make the most of any beach erosion you come across.
In the photo are several bronze ship spikes, two lead musket balls, what I believe is a larger lead grape shot and a lead four hole button.
I also found two pieces of Spanish silver, a 1715 fleet silver one reale and an older worn silver eight or four reale.
All the finds were made at 2 different wreck sites in between the high tide and low tide lines, not exactly the stuff of treasure hunting dreams but not too shabby for a part time beach treasure hunter.
