Recent storm = old gold band.

Made it down to the beach this morning for the first time in a few days, we had almost 2" of rain and heavy wind for the past two days. I thought I would get a lot more than I did, but this gold band made it worth the effort.

18K gold total weight of 12 grams.

Hi, I have a newbie question, 327.01, is that how much money he can get for it if he sells it to highest paying melting place? I think the answer is yes, but I want to make sure. If so, then that is WAY COOL!! Would mean he got basically a $327.01 payday for the day!! Very cool.

That storm he's talking about, made it's way east & I've been stuck for 2 days waiting for it to go away so I can drive my truck!!

Unless I did something wrong, here is the math (assuming one gets a very competitive 95% of melt):

1130/oz * (12g / 31.1034807 g/oz ) * 18k/24k * 95% melt value paid = approx $310.62
