I found a nice 43' merc in a lot next to my office. This is the third Merc from this lot in the last 12 Months that I've hunted it. Previous finds were 1919 (2012) Merc, 1938 (2013). It has also produced a few Wheaties.
My wife and I visited a local school ball field, she didn't find anything, but she apparently pushed me in the direction of two nice rings, one may be silver in excellent shape. The other is marked 10k and 1/8 T W. i am assuming that the 1/8 is in reference to the diamond looking pebble mounted on it?? Like 1/8 Karat Total Weight? This one school has given up four gold rings, 1 14k Pendant, 7 silver rings, and a 1919 Merc since I started hunting it.
I sure wish I had more schools like this.
My wife found a 1958 Wheatie at a tot-lot in the woodchips of all places. Sorry didn't photo it yet. It was in surprisingly good shape, too good to have been there very long.
