Hi everybody!
I know it's been a while since my last post. We have recently gotten back from Georgia! I was invited to sing for a TV telethon, and decided to take my metal detector. I'm glad I did!
I was staying with my grandmother in GA and decided to hunt her house. It was very hot, but I managed to get in a good 30 minute hunt. That hunt produced all of the tootsie toy cars shown in the picture! But all of the cars are either broken in half or pieces are missing (the pink one was found by my grandfather on top of the ground! ) Also found in that hunt were the other toy cars, some clad, and, oh yeah... A SILVER 1958-D FRANLIN HALF-DOLLAR!
The next day we came back home! A few days later, I decided to hunt my next door neighbors house. For those of you who haven't seen the 1899 Barber quarter post, our neighbors moved away about a week ago. Before he left, he told me he had lost his wedding band and that if I had found it to call him! Still no luck yet on the ring , but I have had some luck over there, mainly in the form of older toys. My latest finds from there were a little toy train from 1989 (Looks German to me! ) a 1957 Chevy-150 Dale Earnhardt race car, a neat old toy metal U.S. Air Force jet plane (need help with i.d. ) and a 1942 Canadian silver dime!
Thanks to everyone out there for taking a look at my posts! I appreciate it! Enjoy the pics! Take care, HH, and God Bless!
