Recent finds in my yard, all except the shoe

Any input on the point (besides that its broken) lol? Found all of these items in south georgia very near the altamaha river.

Looks like square nails, that's a good sign. And the horseshoe is facing the right way. So I'd say you're in the right spot.

Yup, square nails. Really good sign. When you find square nails, it's a 100% surety that's an old location. The new nails is a suck sign mostly, but you never know. Keep lookin, something's there.

From what I have been able to pry from neighbors there were no other homes where our house is now but I do keep turning up these square nails. Our town was founded on turpentine, I am kinda of thinking these nails may somehow be related to that? I am defiantly going to keep looking.

Yea man keep on. It's weird,every machine I've used picks up to some extent square nails. Guess it's the flat sides??... Dunno, but regular nail get discriminated out good. Unless there's a bunch in one spot. Good luck
