I got out twice this week to my favorite campground site, and found a few keepers.
No silver coins this week, which bummed me out a bit, but I did find silver - a sterling silver fork! I bet mom was pretty mad when she learned that hubby or son lost a piece of her good serving set
Here are the pics...
Total haul from Tuesday's hunt...
I picked up the deer antler for my son - I knew he'd get a kick out of that.
Here are the keepers from Tuesday...
I've been hoping to find one of these Statue of Liberty neckerchief slides, and did a little mental happy dance when she came out of the ground...
The little round disk with the patent date of Dec. 29, 1885 is a flame spreader for an oil lamp (big thanks to BigCypressHunter on the What Is It? forum)...
And here is yesterday's haul...
And another very cool neckerchief slide to add to the collection...
I also found two Boy Scout belt slides, one for Conservation and one for Environment - apparently the Boy Scouts don't use these belt slides anymore, only Cub Scouts, and they are a little different...
Here's the clad...
And here's the mark on the fork...
Happy Hunting!
