Recent find. Real or no? Thoughts...

Hello all-

I'm a new member and found this site after a Google search. I saw that many people had more knowledge on this particular item than I. So, now I'm a member and plan on posting about future finds.

Anyway, can anyone help me to determine if this CSA buckle is fake or real? It's an item I do not have much expertise.

The buckle's "construction" and shape of the belt-hooks prove it is absolutely a modern-made Reproduction buckle, not an Original one from the civil war.

Agreed. A company called Hanover Brass makes these reproductions plates.Pretty cool site especially if you want to prank your buddies

They are correct Absolutely a repop. Spend some time on the site and you find examples of what a real one looks like so you will not buy anymore repops! Unless of course you want them.
