Here's a few recent finds from a couple different spots and a couple inches of rain. I found a good stemmed point with a needle tip, and a Waller knife I think.
I wish I had time to hunt since most all of our fields are either plowed or planted and we have had tons of rain, but unfortunately I still have loads of work to do on this house.
Congrats on your finds and thanks for the pictures.
Great hunt thirty7.Love that needle tip. Did you ever find your spot near that field of flint? Am taking the boat out in about 7 hours tomorrow with snorkel and fins. Maybe I will have a post Great finds.
TnMountains
Hey Tn, today I covered the outskirts surrounding the mountain of flint in my earlier post. I hit the creeks, and they are still too muddy to find anything unfortunately. I walked a fishermen trail along the creek and found some more raw flint and a couple of worked flakes. Then I went to the other side of the mountain and found a promising disced field, every rock in this field was flint, big chunks of raw flint. I'm getting closer though.
Good luck tomorrow, hope your water is more clear than ours. I've never hunted like that, but I imagine you could clean up if your in the right place, I was thinking about getting a mask.
