Why not Think...Outside the Box!

In the recent episode one of the drilling attempts came to a halt because they had reached bedrock. I am surprised that they missed an obvious connection based on this. Bedrock? Could this mean that Fred and Barney were Templars?

All they had to do was lower one of these rather inexpensive Metal Detectors down the whole...To verify if it is Metal or Rock or Wood.

Apparently, they did not want to do that.

They will go back in season 50 and do that, likely spend 15 minutes explaining why it seems logical that they waited so long after they drilled it.

I would like to fly over and seed the heck out of the area with hundreds of home-made and repop trinkets. Make a youtube video of it and wait until they find it, create an entire season around it and find someone on the planet willing to go on record and say it is real period treasure that was lost transporting the treasure.
