Recent dig in the dirt finds - double 1832's

I have been spending most of my time on the ocean beaches looking for gold but did manage to make a few dig in the dirt finds recently. These two 1832 large cents were about 50 feet apart and in the same general area that I found the barber half dollar. Both were deep, one almost wasn't a signal.

And Storm, that 1917 wheat was 8-9 inches down in bone dry soil, found with an Explorer SE using a stock Explorer II coil. ;D

Nice digs Charles!! That one LC looks like it was being used or about to be made into a tag.

Well....I just can't seem to get that depth in our soil with my stock coil. I am sure it is operator error...but I will stick with my Girly Coil until we get a little rain ;D ;D ;D

Nice finds, Charles!!!

I too have been using an Exp. II coil on my SE and just love it. Great depth, less falsing with higher sensitivity settings. I went to a couple of parks with highly mineralized soil and rusty nails this past week, and did very well with that coil.
