WTG Tim! Considering the weather we've been having,that's fantastic.I imagine it took several hrs/days.Great results.
 

Outstanding finds! I am finding that CW relics are my favorite to hunt for. I love the pic. keep it up and post more of what you find.

No inscriptions that I can find. Looks like it may have been a school bell? I dug it in a Civil War camp, so it's possible it was carried back to the camp by a soldier? I have read several stories about a lot of activity around the school house's back in those day's.

You may be onto something. I dug one up very similar to yours at the 1830's CW property I am MDing now. Here's a few pictures.
Congrats on a fantastic hunt. That a lot of nice CW relics you got there.

MM, those are just a couple of clad coins. This site has only produced a couple of cleaner bullets, good indication it's a early camp of the Civil War.
