Reason why i love craigslist.......

Every now and then a hear on the forum how someone finds a great detector for cheap on craigslist. I always check, however, i never see anything good. I went online the other night and i see a post Whites DFX 500.00. Knowing that the sell for over a G new, i figured it was either beat, stolen, or broken. I emailed the guy expectingit was gone. To my amazement he said he still had it two days after the post. I made plans to come check it out. He told me that his wife bought it for him two xmass ago and he just didnt have the time. Not only was it in great shape. it was barely used. He said he only used it a few time, and it showed, the coil was still shinny. Along with it he threw in 2 coil covers, a nice gator digger, a hand trowl, 2 battery packs one is rechargeable, and a few books all for $500.00. Im not 100% but i think i got a steal.

I, too, bought my DFX off Craigslist... it came with the detector bag, AA batter pack, rechargeable battery pack and charger, Bullseye II pinpointer, coil cover, digger, video, a couple of books and owners manual, all in like new condition for $500.

I just bought an Explorer II with a Sunray probe for a heck of a price on Craigslist, too.

$600 shipped, stock 10" coil, 2 AA battery packs and 1 rechargeable pack and the book Mastering the Minelab Explorer and of course the Sunray Probe and a decent set of headphones.

My buddy bought a Explorer II with an extra coil on Craigslist for $400,not many detectors but you can find a great deal.

I bought a Spectrum XLT off of ebay a few months ago...slightly used condition for $300. Alot of good deals out there if ur patient.
