Really wanna know what this one is!!

I am very curios as to what this one is. its iron with a copper rivet on it, iv restored it enough for it to swing like it should, and it has some kind of ridges on the top.? found it in my nieghbors field that was used from the 1700's to the mid 1900's.

Didnt think of that one but now when i see the desing in the iron and i see the impression where a picture might have gone i begin to think you guys are right, oh but one more thing i forgot, i found two in close proximity to eachother.

Looks like some kind of heavy rigging buckle. You can see where it looks like it had a button thingy on it to possibly hold leather straps, like a belt...

If its any help I found one of these in a box with a bunch of old horse tack. My guess is that its part of leather cinch or harness

it has some kind of raised "notch" on the top of it - i think to turn it. the second picture didn't open for me either. Maybe it is part of an old trunk. Good luck
