Really lost on this one. any help?

found this little trinket a few days ago. the site where it was found has history all the way back to pre revolution, it was also the site of a civil war seige. it is in eastern nc i will post some photos and any help is really appreciated, you can see the size. it is a heavy little thing the center is pewter or lead? i think. thanks for helping.

Looks like an over sized bale seal to me.

Under the numbers it looks like a tomahawk.

the numbers are either 26 or 28 to the right of the numbers is what looks to be a pinecone and under the line is the letter A

Yeap, a lead seal. Not sure whether a bale seal, more likely train or telephone.
