Really deep thing what is it?

This was 9" - 10" deep dug a long time to find it. It's from an old home site. Any ideas?

Maybe part of an old automobile steering linkage?

parts of the steering, or the pole that the harnesses are attached to on a wagon I believe.

Axle clip with shaft reciever attached , used on buggys and carriages. still used today..don

Oh good, then it could be off an old horse wagon since it's at a 1800's home site, and very very deep in the ground that has possibility never been excavated?
