Thanks everyone, I just got into metal detecting rcently and I've managed some good finds so far. The pony express coin was originally 24k gold over silver, obviously some of the gold has worn off. I've been hunting mostly on California beaches. Here's a few more photos of my recent finds (I've been hunting for about a month, these photos are from 2 hunts in the last week):


This photo has a couple wheaties, a barber dime, Mercury dime, shield nickel, v nickel and barber quarter



Here I have an Indian head, buffalo, 2 Mercury dimes, 1 Roosevelt, 1 v nickel, barber dime and another seated dime

Not bad for being a new hunter in my opinion!
