Great find. Was it a yard find? Thanks for sharing.

i found them under a gum tree at a local church, about 6 in down, i pulled the nickel out and thought well shoot, i could tell it had some silver in it must be a war nickel, covered the hole, was still reading silver so unplugged hole and theres washington shinin at me so im thinking this was it, replugged hole and was still reading good, re re pulled plug out and there she was

Congrats.That a sweet litlte find.HH.

Outstanding! Six years hunting for me and I have yet to find a silver quarter or half.

This is the 2nd 1942 half dollar i have found in less than 2 months, i still can't believe it, i have gone MONTHS without so much as finding a silver dime then the last 2 months Iv found 2 halves (both 1942) 3 silver washingtons 2 rosies and 1 merc. one thng that i have had the best luck with is around old trees, you can tell when dirt has been moved in because the roots are not exposed, a really root exposed tree is a great place to look , ol' shade trees have been bringing me good luck, iv been reading this forum for a year or so and thought i'd share some of my treasures with ya'll
thanks everybody!

Greta finds! I have had awesome luck under the old trees with roots exposed too! Got 4 Mercury dimes earlier in the year in one hole,

That's the kind of coin spill that's awesome, congrats!

Totally cool coins! :hello2: :occasion18: :blob9:

Also love how you repeatedly dug up that same plug, like a squirrel or pack rat pulling out more treasures! HAVE FUN! Andi

That was a nice pocket spill!!! Congrats on 3 silver in one hole.
