I found a bunch of Real Picture Post Cards for 50 cents each at an estate sale yesterday. There are some awesome old town scenes, Native Americans, cowboys, etc.
Two of the post cards are of an airplane(?) on the water with big propeller engines of some sort.
Can any of you guys tell me what kind of a plane it is? or maybe it's a boat? Thanks for any help!

Very cool and very collectible. A lot of high salaried pilots collect these things

Glenn Curtiss Museum in New York would be able to answer your questions.

I've been there and it's a fantastic place. It could take a couple of days to see everything in there.

You have a very nice find with that post card.

This looks a lot like the same style of engine.

Nice ! The props are turning .

Thanks Diggummup and Mojjax!
Here's a few more of the postcards from the estate sale---there are some really cool ones! I will probably try to list them on eBay this week.
First one is of J.D. "Pop" Gray, Peace Officer of West Texas and New Mexico for 25 yrs. The card says he was 6 ft. 2 in. and 210lbs .
He looks like a pretty tough hombre! :)

Next is a RPPC of Washington Co. Boys Leaving for Camp Travis. They are loading onto the Frisco Train in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. This was a picture taken by Drum Studio in Bartlesville. Look at how many people are there sending the military boys off! And it looks like there are Boys Scouts in the photo too. The AZO stamp box dates this RPPC to 1904-1918.

This one is cool....Wonder who "Tex George" was? If anyone knows who this was, please pass along the information to me, okay?

And last is my favorite! The Great Chief's:

Real Photo cards can bring good money, especially if the subject is one that draws specific interest. The Native American card is really nice, to the right couple of bidders, it will do well.

9 watchers on your postcards already, nice! I'd say put the next ones up as 10 day auctions, they don't cost any more then 7 or 5 day now and you'll get more exposure!

I'll try a 10 day next time I get a really good and unusual one. Thanks Baltimore!

Unrelated to the thread but related to one of your listings. This is just one of the cars your oil gauge would have went on- 1922 Dodge Brothers Convertible car review

I believe they stopped using the "Dodge Brothers" name around 1928 when they sold out to Chrysler. Saw that on American Pickers last night, lol.

Also you should add the word "pressure" in your title since it's an oil pressure gauge. There is another one for sale with 4 watchers for $32.50- Vintage Dodge Brothers Oil Pressure Gauge 955 | eBay

Cool! Thanks for that info., Diggum! I'll go revise the listing right now. That oil gauge came from the same estate sale as the postcards. Did you see the neat column mount mileage log that I have listed? 1930's Advertising Steering Column Mount Mileage Log Geo E Failing Supply Co | eBay It came from the estate sale too.
