I was looking through some of my coins today and came across this one I bought at a yard sale for 50 cents. I have no clue if it's real or not. Kinda doubt it being that I picked it up for that price. I know they are tons of copies and fakes floating around. I was wondering if you guys might be able to figure it out. I tested it against a magnet and it doesn't stick, maybe it's made of copper or something. Thanks for any help! :icon_thumright:

This is a fake poured in a mold. You can see the puddle sots inthe face. In the future as a reference all spanish early coinage Pieces of eight, pillar dollars, escudoes ect. were struck with a hammered die so if it feels or looks like it was made in a mold {Puddles of medal, die marks ect.} it's fake. Stay away from it.
