It has an authentic look. I don't know buttons. Are there a lot fakes in buttons too? I am sure somebody knows your answer.

Other than being a one-piece with no back mark, I can assure you it's certainly a LA state button... No idea if it's a copy, civilian, or actual military button. As you can see there a few variations so I think I'll look around a little more.

I can say that the Confederacy used one piece buttons, so maybe!

So I have noticed. Although the button is thick and well casted. The repo's are cheaply done that I have seen.
