Hello fellow tnetters its been awhile since ive posted in what is it forum.. Glad to be back! Yesterday i scored some hunting time from a friends construction site downtown charleston south carolina. I found a 1854 seated half dollar, within 2ft of that i found a late19th century civilian flat button w/shank says 'london'; randomly a foot from the button came this possible revolver looking contraption ? It has some weight to it and resembles several small handguns ive seen in the little research ive done on the web..maybe theres a fellow hunter that might help me determine wether this is cap gun or real? Any help much appreciated.. Thanx for looking

Definitely a cap gun that shoots the 8 shot ring caps. A real pistol would not have the posts in each hole. Not sure how old it would be as they still make them
