read the post prism 3 vs ace 250 how about prism 4 vs the 250???

can get a great deal on a prism 4 which now comes with a pin pointer free so for a few dollars more is the prism 4 a much better machine then the 250/

Hmmm, never have used an Ace 250, but I have made some great finds with my Prizm IV and achieved good depth and accurate TID. Very stable, pinpoint is right on and the unit is lightweight.

I've since purchased an X-Terra 50, love this machine with it's outstanding performance. But, the Prizm IV was too hard to give up and is now a reliable backup I take on many hunts with my X-Terra.

the p4 is a good machine as all the p models. but since you mentioned the 250 i will tell you that having a 4.5 inch coil available at a reasonable price and having selective notch on the 250. Plus the 250 is about 180$ less. You can buy a heck of a good pinpointer for 180$. Also some companies will give you a pinpointer with the purchase of the 250 for free up to a 15$ extra charge. if your going to compare the 250 to a comparable P model it would be the p5 but then the dollar difference is way more for comperable features.
PS. out of all the p models I still believe the p2 is the best.
