Hi E1, and thank you "White"! I have been detecting for about 10 years, but with an old machine. I recently bought a new MXT, and have been somewhat successful. I was so eager to go to the field before reading the manual in depth. I have found nice things,, but when I sat down and read the manual after using the machine for a while, I learned many things, and using that knowledge from the manual, today I found a mercury dime, and in the same hole were two square nails, and a piece of iron. I found the dime first, then hoping to find more, I used less discrimination, then found the junk.
